Formerly, there was a king named Pallava in the Tuṇḍīra region. Residing in the city of Kāñcī, the king protected the entire world.

By name, I am Nityakalyāṇa (Eternally Auspicious), and I reside right here, O king. I was born in the Kāśyapa gotra and am a master of the Vedas and their auxiliary sciences.

The Lord directly addresses the king's devotion, validating his virtuous actions. This verse establishes the reason for the Lord's manifestation, rewarding the king's sincerity.

Thinking that you were sad that "henceforth there are no more maidens," I came here with Ramā.

The Lord reveals His omniscience by acknowledging the king's inner anxiety. This verse highlights the Lord's compassionate nature in responding to the devotee's silent concerns.

And indeed, always perform the kalyāṇam (auspicious wedding rite), O king. If this is your resolve, there will surely be great prosperity.

Thus instructed by Viṣṇu, the king, with faith, attained supreme bliss, performing the kalyāṇotsava (wedding festival) every day.

The king's obedience to the Lord's command results in his spiritual fulfillment. This verse illustrates the fruit of following the Sadguru's and the Lord's guidance.

Whoever performs the wedding festival of Viṣṇu in this sacred place, in his house auspiciousness shall soon occur by the grace of Hari.

Here ends the twentieth chapter, entitled "The Glory of Kalyāṇakṣetra," in the Second Part of the Divyadeśavaibhavam, composed by Śrī Kṛṣṇapremi Mahāprabhu.
