- prayatnataḥ parāṁ anirvācyāṁ bhaktim pravakṣyāmi — I shall carefully describe the supreme, inexpressible devotion
- yāṁ labdhvā — having obtained which (devotion)
- pumān pūrṇakāmaḥ ca nityatṛptaḥ bhavet — a person becomes fully fulfilled and eternally satisfied
- Anirvācyā (inexpressible) signals that paramā bhakti exceeds the scope of mundane language, reflecting the text's esoteric orientation.
- Pūrṇakāma (full of desires, complete) refers not to fulfillment of material wants but to the satisfaction that arises when every spiritual longing is satisfied.
- The verse establishes the chapter's scope: an advanced treatise on the highest form of devotion, addressed to practitioners capable of receiving such teachings.
